Advocate Spot-On for Dogs
Advocate Spot-On for Dogs is a monthly broad-spectrum topical treatment containing imidacloprid and moxidectin. It controls fleas, prevents heartworm disease and treats selected intestinal worms, mites and biting lice in dogs.
Imidacloprid acts topically across the skin and coat to kill fleas and lice. Moxidectin is absorbed through the skin and distributed through the body, where it acts against internal worms and mites.

Advocate does not protect dogs against ticks. Use a separate compatible tick preventative where tick exposure is a concern, following veterinary or current label guidance. Dogs exposed to ticks need a separate compatible product chosen for local risk.
The product is suitable for puppies from seven weeks of age and dogs weighing at least 1kg. Four weight variants are available, and the full pipette selected for the dog’s current body weight must be applied.
Advocate also does not treat an existing tapeworm infestation. Effective flea control may reduce flea-tapeworm transmission, but dogs requiring tapeworm treatment need a suitable dewormer selected with veterinary guidance.
Monthly application is particularly important for heartworm prevention. Where a dose has been missed or heartworm exposure may have occurred, consult a veterinarian before simply restarting the schedule.
Apply to intact skin only and prevent the dog or other animals from licking the application site. Keep the product away from the eyes and mouth and wash hands after treatment.

How to Use & Safety
- Weigh the dog and choose the correct pipette.
- Open the tube according to the pack directions.
- Part the fur to expose intact skin.
- Apply the full contents directly to the skin.
- For dogs over 25kg, divide the dose across the directed back locations.
- Prevent licking until the application site is dry.
- Avoid bathing or swimming for approximately two days after treatment.
- Repeat monthly on the scheduled date.
Do not apply to broken skin or administer orally. Contact a veterinarian after ingestion, a significant reaction or an application error.
