F10 Sterilant with Rust Inhibitor 5L is a ready-to-use cold sterilant for the rapid sterilisation of heat-sensitive devices and surgical instruments. The formula includes a rust inhibitor and is supplied in a 5L container.
It can be used for stainless-steel instruments, flexible and rigid endoscopes, urinary catheters, endotracheal tubes, suture needles, latex drains, clipper blades and sensitive dental, orthopaedic and ophthalmology instruments.

Cold Sterilisation with a Defined Procedure
The sterilant is only one stage of the full instrument-processing programme. Instruments must first be rinsed, cleaned and disinfected before the sterilant immersion step.
The solution must be replaced daily and must not be used on aluminium.

After the sterilant step, the item is removed with sterile gloves, dried and stored in a sterile container. No rinse is required after the F10 Sterilant immersion.
Ingredients & Composition
F10 Sterilant contains quaternary ammonium compounds at 0.54g/L, ampholytic surfactants and sequestrants, a rust inhibitor and water.
The clear ready-to-use solution has an approximate pH of 7.5.

Directions for Use & Safety
Follow the complete instrument-processing sequence:
- Rinse the instrument or device with clean water and brush off surface debris as necessary.
- Brush thoroughly with F10SCXD at 1:100, or F10CLXD at 1:20, and leave fully submerged for 10 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Fully submerge the item in F10 Sterilant for 10 minutes, ensuring all surfaces are exposed and all lumens are filled. Do not rinse afterwards.
- Remove the item while wearing sterile gloves, dry it and store it in a sterile container.
- Replace the sterilant solution daily.
Do not mix the sterilant with soap or other chemicals. Avoid contact with the eyes and keep it out of reach of children, uninformed persons and pets. Do not use it on aluminium.
Store below 30°C in dry conditions and out of direct sunlight. Replace the cap after use and prevent contamination of the remaining product.
