Antimicrobial & Insecticidal Action
The antimicrobial action of F10 is based on the core actives used in other F10 antiseptic and disinfectant products.
At the concentrations present, F10 has demonstrated greater than log 5 (100,000-fold) reductions in microbial counts
against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, yeasts and moulds.
The formulation has also demonstrated proven viricidal effectiveness against both enveloped and non-enveloped viruses.
The insecticidal action is based on cypermethrin, a broad-spectrum pyrethroid insecticide.
Laboratory testing showed rapid effectiveness against blow fly larvae and eggs, with complete kill achieved within
30 minutes in test conditions.
Cypermethrin is effective against a range of insects including biting flies, fleas, midges, mosquitoes and ticks.
Residual effectiveness has been demonstrated for at least 5 days under laboratory conditions,
with field trials showing residual action extending beyond two weeks in some applications.
