Virbac Prodose Orange – Parasite Control for Sheep and Goats is a broad-spectrum oral anthelmintic remedy formulated for the control of major internal parasites in sheep and goats. It delivers reliable parasite management with residual protection against re-infestation of wireworm and hookworm — two of the most economically significant internal parasites in small ruminants.
Internal parasites rarely announce themselves politely. They reduce feed conversion, compromise growth, affect condition scores and quietly impact overall productivity. Prodose Orange is designed to interrupt that cycle with predictable, structured control.
- Controls nasal bot (all larval stages: 1st, 2nd and 3rd instars)
- Controls immature and adult roundworms
- Residual protection: wireworm (5 weeks)
- Residual protection: hookworm (2 weeks)
- Aids in control of liver fluke and giant liver fluke
- Controls milk tapeworm (Moniezia spp.)

Developed and registered by VIRBAC RSA (Pty) Ltd, this formulation combines two proven chemical groups — benzimidazoles and salicylanilides — to provide comprehensive parasite coverage. Used strategically and as directed, it forms part of a responsible flock health program rather than a reactive fix.
Dosage & Administration
For oral use only. Shake well before use. Use strictly as directed.
Dosage: 2 ml per 10 kg body mass.

Do not repeat treatment more frequently than every 5 weeks.
Allow 30 days between last dosing and slaughter for human consumption. Residues are blood bound, and meat and organs are considered suitable for human consumption 30 days after treatment.
Do not use in milk goats whose milk is intended for human consumption.
As with all worm remedies, animals should be immunised against pulpy kidney disease prior to drenching.

Ovicidal Action
Roundworm eggs present in the animal at the time of dosing are prevented from hatching, reducing pasture contamination pressure.
Maximum benefit is achieved when animals are treated before the expected onset of clinical signs — during the prepatent period. Strategic timing matters. Parasite control is most effective when predictable rather than reactive.
