The square format is intended to fit across the rear-seat area of many passenger vehicles. Vehicle interiors differ, so headrest placement, seat width and buckle access should be checked before travel.

The cover protects upholstery but is not a crash-tested restraint. Dogs should still travel with an appropriate vehicle restraint, travel harness, carrier or other safety system selected for the dog and vehicle.

The hammock arrangement can help reduce access to the rear footwell, but it must not be treated as a secure barrier for a dog that climbs, chews or pushes through travel equipment.

Remove loose toys, bowls and heavy objects from the travel area before driving. Anything unsecured can move suddenly during braking or a collision.

Materials and Care

The cover uses two water-resistant nylon layers with felt padding between them. Water-resistant material helps manage routine dampness and muddy paws, but standing liquid should still be removed promptly.

• Wash according to the care label supplied with the product.
• Use a cool wash where the label permits machine washing.

Dog nails can damage travel covers and upholstery. Keep nails appropriately maintained and inspect the nylon regularly for punctures, tears or weakened seams.

A damaged strap or attachment point can allow the cover to shift. Replace the cover when the attachment system no longer remains secure.

Fit and Installation

1. Place the cover across the clean rear seat.
2. Attach the rear straps around the rear headrests or use the rear-seat attachment supplied.
3. Attach the front straps around the front headrests to create the hammock position.
4. Adjust each strap so the cover lies evenly without excessive slack.
5. Confirm that the cover does not obstruct the driver’s view or vehicle controls.
6. Check access to any required seat-belt buckles or dog-restraint points.
7. Secure the dog with an appropriate vehicle restraint.
8. Recheck the straps before every journey.

Not every vehicle has removable or adjustable rear headrests. Confirm that the attachment points are suitable before relying on the hammock arrangement.

The cover should not interfere with child-seat anchors, airbags or vehicle safety equipment. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s guidance whenever another restraint system is fitted.

Allow the dog to become familiar with the installed cover while the vehicle is stationary before undertaking a longer trip.
