Exspot Spot-on for Dogs is registered under Reg. No. G2980 (Act 36/1947) and is indicated for dogs and puppies from 2 weeks of age. It kills and controls flies, ticks (kennel ticks and brown dog ticks) and fleas for more than 4 weeks when used as directed.

Each pack contains 2 x 1 mℓ pipettes consisting of blister film foil lid stock sealed into aluminium sachets. The formulation contains Permethrin 65% m/v.

Exspot Spot-on for Dogs is intended for external animal use only and must not be used on cats, as permethrin is toxic to cats.

How Exspot Works

Exspot Spot-on for Dogs contains Permethrin 65% m/v. Permethrin acts on the nervous system of ectoparasites, helping to kill and control ticks, fleas and flies.

Once applied directly to the skin as directed, the solution spreads over the skin surface, providing ongoing control for more than 4 weeks. If the dog becomes very wet (for example through swimming or shampooing), the duration of protection may be reduced and reapplication may be necessary, observing the minimum 7-day interval between treatments.

In severe infestations, it is safe to reapply a further treatment 7 days after the initial dose, strictly following label directions. Because prevention is better than dealing with a full-blown tick situation later.

Dosage & Safety Guidelines

Exspot Spot-on for Dogs should only be used as directed.

• Dogs up to and including 15 kg: Apply 1 x 1 mℓ pipette
• Dogs over 15 kg: Apply 2 x 1 mℓ pipettes

Apply by parting the coat and squeezing the solution directly onto the skin between the shoulder blades and on the tips of the ears. For dogs over 15 kg, apply one pipette between the shoulder blades and ears and the second at the base of the tail. Do not rub into the skin.

Important safety information:

• DO NOT use on cats
• DO NOT use on puppies younger than 2 weeks
• Do not allow treated animals to swim for 12 hours after treatment
• Store at or below 25 °C
• Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals

Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands after use. Do not handle the application area for 3 to 6 hours after treatment. If irritation occurs, bathe the dog with a mild shampoo and consult your veterinarian.
