MSD Ectodex 100ml

MSD Ectodex 100ml is an external dip wash for dogs. It contains amitraz and is indicated for the control of demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange, ticks and lice.

Ectodex must be diluted with lukewarm water before use. The prepared dip is used to saturate the dog’s coat and is left to dry naturally without rinsing.

Amitraz is an ectoparasiticide used against specified mites, ticks and lice. The concentration prepared for use differs according to the condition being treated.

Transient drowsiness may occur at the demodectic-mange dilution. Recovery is described as spontaneous, but veterinary advice should be obtained if a reaction is severe or persistent.

How to Use & Safety

  • Wear rubber gloves during dilution and application.
  • Use only on dogs and do not use on Chihuahuas.
  • Do not use on dogs suffering from heat stress.
  • Do not use on cats.
  • Saturate the coat, do not rinse and allow the dog to drip-dry naturally.
  • Do not contaminate rivers, dams or other water sources.

Dispose of unused prepared dip and containers according to local environmental-waste requirements. Do not retain prepared dip for a later treatment.
