Advocate Spot-On for Cats
Advocate Spot-On for Cats is a monthly broad-spectrum topical treatment containing imidacloprid and moxidectin. It controls fleas and selected internal parasites and mites in cats and kittens from nine weeks of age and at least 1kg body weight.
Imidacloprid spreads through the oily layer of the skin and coat to kill adult fleas and help control flea larvae in the cat’s surroundings. Moxidectin is absorbed through the skin and distributed through the body to act against worms and mites.

Advocate does not protect cats against ticks. Cats exposed to ticks require a separate compatible tick preventative selected according to the animal’s age, weight, health and local parasite risk.
Two local weight options are available. Small contains 0.4ml pipettes for cats from 1–4kg, while Medium/Large contains 0.8ml pipettes for cats over 4–8kg. Cats over 8kg require an appropriate combination of tubes under label or veterinary direction.
Apply the full contents directly onto intact skin at the back of the head, where licking is less likely. Part the fur until the skin is visible and avoid placing the liquid only on top of the coat.
Monthly timing is particularly important where heartworm exposure is possible. Record the treatment date and seek veterinary advice after a missed application rather than changing the schedule without guidance.
Prevent treated cats and other household animals from licking the wet application site. Wash hands after use and keep the product away from the eyes, mouth and broken skin.
