Kyron DigestEaze 250g is a palatable powdered digestive enzyme supplement for animals with exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, commonly shortened to EPI. It is a pancreatic enzyme concentrate derived from fresh porcine pancreas.

EPI reduces the animal’s ability to digest food because the pancreas does not provide enough digestive enzymes. DigestEaze supplies amylase, protease and lipase to support the breakdown of carbohydrates, proteins and fats and help make these nutrients available for absorption.

The powder is added at each meal so that the enzymes come into close contact with the food. Use a level measure and follow the weight-based product directions.

Composition

Each level measure contains no less than the following enzyme activity according to Kyron’s current product information.

Amylase supports carbohydrate digestion, protease supports protein digestion and lipase supports fat digestion. The product is derived from porcine pancreas and should not be used where this source is unsuitable for the animal or household.

Do not substitute human digestive-enzyme products or change the prescribed enzyme amount without veterinary guidance.

Daily Use & Safety

Add one level measure, approximately 3.5g, to each meal for animals weighing more than 10kg. Use half a measure for animals weighing less than 10kg.

For larger dogs over 10kg that do not show improvement, Kyron states that the amount may be increased to 7g. Any adjustment should be discussed with the treating veterinarian.

  3. Mix it thoroughly through the meal.
  4. Give the prepared meal according to the veterinary feeding plan.
  5. Monitor appetite, stool quality, weight and general condition.

Avoid inhaling the powder and wash hands after measuring it. Keep the tub tightly closed, dry and out of reach of children and animals.
