Trixie Claw Scissors 12cm
Trixie Claw Scissors 12cm are a compact claw-care tool for small dogs, cats, small animals and birds. The design combines stainless-steel cutting surfaces with a plastic handle and rubber grip for controlled routine grooming.
A built-in limiter helps reduce how far a claw enters the cutting area, while the safety lock keeps the tool closed for storage. These features support careful handling but do not remove the need to identify the safe trimming point on each claw.
- 12cm grooming tool
- Suitable for several small pet species
- Stainless-steel cutting surfaces
- Plastic handle with rubber grip
- Built-in cutting limiter
- Safety lock for closed storage
- One tool per pack
Regular claw checks help pet parents notice excessive length, splitting or altered wear. The correct trimming interval differs between individual animals because activity surface, age, posture and normal claw growth all affect how quickly claws lengthen.
Only trim when the animal can be held calmly and securely. Dark claws, deformed claws, very long claws or an animal that struggles strongly are better handled by a veterinarian or experienced groomer.
The limiter is an aid rather than a guarantee against cutting too far. It must be positioned carefully, and only a small amount should be removed at a time.

Materials and Safety
The cutting section is stainless steel, while the handle is plastic with a rubber grip. Keep the tool clean, dry and locked closed when it is not being used.
- Inspect the cutting edges before every session.
- Do not use a blunt, bent, loose or damaged tool.
- Keep fingers clear of the cutting area.
- Trim only the safe outer tip of the claw.
- Never force a claw into the opening.
- Stop when the pet becomes distressed or moves unpredictably.
- Keep the scissors out of reach of children and animals.
The living centre of the claw must be avoided. Where it is difficult to see, remove very small amounts or obtain professional assistance rather than guessing.
How to Use
- Choose a quiet, well-lit area.
- Hold the pet in a stable, comfortable position.
- Examine each claw and identify only the safe tip.
- Unlock the scissors and position a small claw section in the opening.
- Use the limiter as a guide without relying on it alone.
- Make one smooth controlled cut.
- Recheck the claw before removing any additional length.
- Clean and dry the scissors, then engage the safety lock.
Do not rush to shorten an overgrown claw in one session. A veterinary professional can advise on a gradual plan where the safe trimming margin is limited.
