Halti Headcollar
Halti Headcollar is a padded walking and training aid designed to help manage dogs that pull on the lead. By gently guiding the direction of the dog’s head, it gives the handler additional steering control during structured walking practice.
The design uses strong, lightweight nylon webbing and a soft neoprene-padded noseband. When correctly fitted, the dog remains able to pant, drink and accept rewards, making the headcollar suitable for positive-reinforcement walking exercises.
- Helps manage pulling during lead walks
- Guides the dog’s head without loading the throat
- Soft neoprene padding around the noseband
- Lightweight nylon webbing
- Reflective detailing supports low-light visibility
- Safety link connects to the dog’s ordinary collar
- Available in six sizes from 0 to 5
The safety link connects the headcollar to the dog’s ordinary collar. Check both products and the connection before every walk.
Introduce the unfamiliar headcollar gradually with treats and short sessions. Reward the dog for placing its nose through the loop and build wearing time slowly.
The Halti is a training aid, not a substitute for patient practice. Pair it with calm handling, slack-lead rewards and a suitable training lead.
Never leave a dog unattended while wearing a headcollar and do not use sudden or forceful lead corrections. The product should be removed after the walking or training session.

Materials & Fit
The headcollar is made from strong yet lightweight nylon with a padded neoprene noseband. A correct fit should remain secure without restricting normal panting, drinking or reward delivery.
- Measure around the top of the dog’s neck before selecting a size.
- Follow the fitting guide supplied with the product.
- Ensure the noseband sits comfortably and cannot slip off.
- Connect the safety link to a correctly fitted ordinary collar.
- Check straps and attachment points before every walk.
- Use only while the dog is supervised.
- Clean regularly and allow the headcollar to dry before storage.
Company of Animals does not recommend it for dogs younger than nine months. Flat-faced dogs may require a different design and careful fit assessment.
