Ruffwear Just-a-Cinch Reflective Slip Lead for Grab-and-Go Walks

The Ruffwear Just-a-Cinch Reflective Slip Lead is a climbing-inspired leash and collar combination designed for quick everyday outings. The rope forms an adjustable loop that slips over the dog’s head, so a separate collar connection is not required during use.

Two sliding silicone bumpers define the tighter and looser limits of the neck loop. This allows the fit to be adjusted before walking and helps keep the loop positioned during use.

  • Combined slip lead and collar design
  • 1.5 m reflective rope leash
  • 11 mm kernmantle rope diameter
  • Two adjustable silicone bumpers
  • Soft tubular webbing handle
  • Accessory loop for pick-up bags or small clip-on items

Reflective Rope with Adjustable Loop Control

The reflective rope supports visibility in low-light conditions. The lead is intended for supervised walking and handling, and should not be left on the dog unattended or used as a tie-out.

The Ruffwear Just-a-Cinch Reflective Slip Lead provides a single-piece connection for walks and controlled handling. It does not include a clip because the adjustable rope loop acts as the collar section.

Materials & Fit

The lead uses reflective polypropylene kernmantle rope with a core made from repurposed waste yarns. The adjustable bumpers are silicone, and the handle is made from polyester tubular webbing.

Inspect the rope, handle, stitching and both bumpers before use. Replace the lead if the rope becomes cut, heavily abraded or otherwise damaged.

  • Position one bumper to set the close-fitting limit.
  • Use the second bumper to manage the looser limit.
  • Check that the neck loop cannot slip over the dog’s head.
  • Keep the lead under direct supervision during use.
  • Do not use it for lifting, tethering or vehicle restraint.

Hand wash with mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and air dry completely before storage.

Just-a-Cinch Slip Lead Size Guide

The Just-a-Cinch is supplied in one rope size. The lead measures 1.5 m long and 11 mm in diameter. Neck fit is created by sliding the silicone bumpers rather than choosing a fixed collar size.

Measurement Product Size Fit Method
Rope length 1.5 m Fixed length
Rope diameter 11 mm Fixed diameter
Neck loop Adjustable Two sliding silicone bumpers

Adjust the loop before setting off. It should remain secure without restricting breathing or normal neck movement. Recheck the bumper positions during the walk, particularly after strong movement or changes in direction.
