Materials & Fit
The shell is 150D polyester ripstop with a water-repellent finish and polyurethane coating. It includes a 75D polyester lining, side-release buckles, aluminium V-ring and reinforced webbing points.
Secure the fasteners, hand wash cold with mild detergent and air dry. Inspect webbing, buckles, handle and lead points; replace the harness if damage affects secure use.
- Adjust the straps so the harness is secure but not restrictive.
- Check the neck, chest, armpits and belly for rubbing.
- Keep loose strap ends tidy.
- Reassess fit after walking or assisting the dog.
- Do not attach a lead to the Beacon light loop.
- Do not leave a harnessed dog unattended near snag hazards.
Ruffwear Flagline Harness Size Guide
Measure the widest part of the rib cage behind the front legs. Keep the tape level and close to the coat. Ruffwear advises choosing the larger size between sizes.
| Size | Chest Girth | Fit Guidance |
|---|---|---|
| XXS | 33–43 cm | Adjust all six points |
| XS | 43–56 cm | Adjust all six points |
| S | 56–69 cm | Adjust all six points |
| M | 69–81 cm | Adjust all six points |
| L/XL | 81–107 cm | Adjust all six points |
A correct fit allows walking, sitting and lying down without straps shifting into the armpits. Engage every buckle before attaching the lead or using the handle. Recheck adjustment after movement, assistance and longer active outings.
