Ruffwear Sun Shower Dog Raincoat Midnight Blue

Ruffwear Sun Shower Dog Raincoat Midnight Blue is a lightweight waterproof and windproof shell designed for wet and windy outdoor conditions. Its relaxed vest fit provides extended coverage over the dog’s hips and thighs without adding insulation.

The oversized storm collar can be folded up for additional protection around the neck, while the back leash portal allows the raincoat to be worn over most harnesses. Side-release buckles support straightforward fitting and removal.

  • Waterproof and windproof shell fabric
  • Relaxed fit with extended vest coverage
  • Oversized fold-up storm collar
  • Back leash portal for most harnesses
  • Optional leg loops for windy conditions
  • Reflective accents for low-light visibility
  • Available from XXS to XL

The raincoat is uninsulated and may be worn on its own in mild wet weather or layered over another suitable garment in colder conditions. Check that layering does not restrict the dog’s shoulders, chest or normal movement.

Leg loops provide an additional secure-fit option when the weather is windy. They should sit comfortably without pulling, twisting or rubbing. The relaxed fit is designed to accommodate a range of dog shapes.

Reflective trim can improve visibility in low light, but it does not make the dog fully visible in every condition. Use appropriate lighting, leads and road-safety precautions during evening or early-morning walks.

Size Guide

Measure around the widest part of the dog’s rib cage. Ruffwear recommends choosing the size according to chest girth and considering the dog’s proportions and preferred fit.

Size Chest Girth Back Measurement
XXS 33–43cm 30–41cm
XS 43–56cm 39–50cm
S 56–69cm 46–62cm
M 69–81cm 58–74cm
L 81–91cm 64–79cm
XL 91–107cm 72–88cm

Check that the jacket clears the front legs, does not pull across the chest and allows normal walking, running and toileting.
