Frontline Plus for Cats is not interchangeable with Frontline Spray, a dog presentation, or another fipronil product. The species, formulation, active concentrations and registered directions must match the physical package.

Treating the cat alone may not immediately remove every flea in the home because eggs, larvae and pupae can remain in carpets, bedding and furniture. Environmental hygiene and treatment of all suitable household animals may be required.

Sudden scratching, hair loss, skin sores or overgrooming can have causes other than fleas. Veterinary assessment is appropriate when signs continue despite correct parasite control.

Keep the pipettes inside the original labelled carton until needed so the species, batch, expiry date, storage information and warnings remain clear.

Active Ingredients

Fipronil is a phenylpyrazole ectoparasiticide used against susceptible adult fleas, ticks and biting lice.

S-methoprene is an insect growth regulator that interferes with the development of immature flea stages. It does not replace the adult flea activity provided by fipronil.

The quantities above apply to the verified 0.5ml cat pipette. Do not calculate a cat amount from a dog pipette or another Frontline formulation.

Do not combine Frontline Plus with another flea or tick product unless a veterinarian has reviewed the complete active ingredients and treatment timing.

Safety and Warnings

Do not apply a second pipette early because live fleas are still seen. Newly emerged fleas may continue appearing from the environment while immature stages are being controlled.
