Nature’s Miracle Cat Scratch Deterrent Spray

Nature’s Miracle Cat Scratch Deterrent Spray is a 236 ml indoor training aid specifically formulated to discourage destructive scratching on compatible household surfaces. The repellent scent helps make treated furniture or fabric less appealing while pet parents redirect the cat towards a suitable scratching post, board or mat.

Scratching is a normal feline behaviour used for stretching, claw maintenance and communication. This spray does not remove that need. Instead, it supports a practical redirection routine by helping protect selected areas while an appropriate scratcher is placed where the cat naturally wants to scratch.

The formula contains repellent scents made with rosemary, cinnamon, citronella and cornmint essential oils. It is intended for compatible indoor furniture, fabric and household surfaces after colourfastness testing.

  • Helps discourage destructive scratching on treated surfaces.
  • Designed for indoor cat-training routines.
  • Suitable for compatible furniture and fabrics.
  • Repellent scent is formulated with essential oils.
  • Ready-to-use 236 ml spray bottle.
  • Supports redirection towards an appropriate cat scratcher.
  • Can be reapplied daily or when needed.
  • Works best with praise for positive scratching behaviour.

Pair the spray with a suitable option from the cat housing essentials range at Biksie.

Ingredients and Safety

Active ingredients: sodium lauryl sulfate 2.000%, rosemary oil 0.500%, cinnamon oil 0.330%, citronella oil 0.200% and cornmint oil 0.125%.

Inert ingredients: water, citric acid, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate and xanthan gum 96.845%. Total formula: 100.000%.

  • Do not spray directly onto cats or other animals.
  • Test fabrics for colourfastness in a hidden area first.
  • Stop use on a surface if colour or finish is affected.
  • Keep people and pets away during application.
  • Use and store the product according to the label.
  • Provide an appropriate scratching alternative nearby.

Directions for Use

  1. Shake well before use.
  2. Clean the target area and allow it to dry.
  3. Test a hidden section for colourfastness and surface compatibility.
  4. Apply three sprays per square foot, equal to approximately 0.09 m², to the area you want the cat to avoid.
  5. Reapply daily or when needed until the scratching habit changes.
  6. Praise the cat when it uses the approved scratching surface.

Keep the cat’s claws maintained and offer a scratcher with a texture and orientation it enjoys. Some cats prefer a vertical post, while others choose a flat or angled surface, so the alternative should suit the cat’s established scratching style.
