Panthox Purple Wound Spray is an antibiotic aerosol for topical use in animals. It is indicated for the prevention and treatment of oxytetracycline-susceptible infections associated with lacerations, abrasions, open wounds, dermatitis and footrot.
The formula combines oxytetracycline HCl with d-panthenol and gentian violet. Oxytetracycline provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity, d-panthenol supports epithelialisation and wound recovery, and gentian violet gives the spray its distinctive purple colour while providing mild antibacterial and antifungal properties.
