The spray should not be confused with the Feliway Classic Diffuser or 48ml diffuser refill. The spray is used on appropriate environmental targets, while the diffuser provides continuous room coverage.

The official composition lists a 10% analogue of feline facial pheromones and 90% excipient. Because the carrier includes an alcoholic solvent, treated carriers or objects must be allowed to dry before the cat returns.

Feliway can support a behavioural plan but does not diagnose urinary disease, pain, compulsive grooming or aggression. Sudden urination outside the litter tray, straining, blood in urine or reduced urine output requires urgent veterinary assessment.

Environmental management may still be needed, including appropriate litter trays, safe hiding places, gradual introductions, predictable routines and removal of stress triggers.

Do not spray scratching posts where scratching is encouraged. Feliway Classic Spray is intended for unwanted scratch-mark locations and other selected targets, not for making an approved scratching surface more attractive.

The product should be part of a calm, gradual travel or introduction plan. A pheromone spray does not replace carrier training, secure transport or veterinary care for motion sickness.
